Cooper Flagg is scheduled for a private visit with the Dallas Mavericks on June 17, sources told ESPN. This meeting comes just one week after his initial official visit with the Mavericks and ahead of the 2025 NBA Draft on June 25, where Flagg is widely expected to be Dallas’ No. 1 overall pick.

According to Shams Charania, who first reported the news on Twitter, Flagg and the Mavericks are aligned on the prospect’s arrival as the top pick. The team does not plan to host any additional pre-draft visits for other prospects, signaling their strong commitment to selecting Flagg once Commissioner Adam Silver announces their pick at the draft’s opening.
Marc Stein also confirmed the visit, noting that the Mavericks have made clear both publicly and privately their intention to draft Flagg, who is anticipated to immediately take on a significant role. Joining Dallas gives Flagg a prime opportunity to contribute to a roster with multiple veterans poised to contend for a playoff berth.
With the draft less than three weeks away, this private visit underscores the Mavericks’ focus on locking in their future cornerstone and integrating him into their plans for a competitive 2025/26 season.
