Despite these challenges and ongoing back spasms, Raducanu is starting the grass-court season feeling “pretty settled” thanks to the return of her childhood coach Nick Cavaday and a more stable team environment. She credits trust and positive energy as crucial factors in her recent progress.
Raducanu begins her campaign at the inaugural women’s event at Queen’s Club facing Spain’s Cristina Bucsa, where she will also play doubles alongside British number one Katie Boulter. She describes herself as “chilled out” about the grass season leading to Wimbledon.
The former top-20 player emphasizes her determination to overcome adversity and scrutiny, aiming to serve as a positive example for others facing rejection and hardship in their careers.
